Solar Eclipse in ♈️

The solar eclipse on April 19/20 kickstarts eclipse season, happening at 29°57’ of Aries, which is very significant on its own as it’s less than 3 minutes away from being in Taurus. The 29th degree is known as an anoretic degree, containing the full maturity of that signs energy, so with this eclipse we are ready to release it and begin anew. Eclipses are harbingers of change, not necessarily a bad change, but change can feel uncomfortable. They signal endings and beginnings, when one thing ends another begins, and when one thing begins another is coming to an end. It’s like as you shut one door (or sometimes a door gets slammed in your face!) another door will be opened, as long as you’re not focusing on the door that’s just been shut.
There is a sense of releasing the old to make room for new. This is great energy to release self sabotaging thoughts and behaviors, things like imposter syndrome, narratives and stories and perceptions of ourself that are limiting and don’t serve anymore, and things impacting our self esteem and sense of self. After releasing, then what are you going to put in that place? What are you wanting to replace old stories and behaviors with? What kind of person are you wanting to grow into? How does that person show up or speak to themself?
As we release these things and replace them with something new, the eclipse signals that patterns and cycles are being completed, and a new cycle is about to begin. When the moon moves into Taurus just 20 minutes after the eclipse, she forms a square to Pluto, that supports us in our transformation and evolution. We are entering a new cycle and new territory, and this eclipse will help nudge (or force!) us to move through our own limiting beliefs and push us out of our comfort zones to grow and have the new experiences we are wanting. Let go of the “I can’t”s and make room for the “I can”s.
The eclipse is not visible in most parts of the world, which takes away some of the “malefic“ energy associated with eclipse. Try to ground yourself today and remember to adapt and flow with the energy and not resist it! Happy Eclipse Szn 🚀
